Internship Opportunities

NMAC provides intervention services for children who are suspected victims of sexual or severe physical abuse and prevention services within the schools in Clare, Gladwin, and Missaukee Counties.

Throughout our internship program, we hope to positively impact, educate, and shape our future leaders while providing quality, professional services to our clients. We currently accept interns from Central Michigan University, Ferris State University, Saginaw Valley State University, and Mid-Michigan College.

The internship experience will include hands-on experience with our forensic interviewing, family advocacy, and prevention programs. Interns may work behind the scenes to improve child abuse intervention and advocacy, but may also may work directly with our child and family clients. In addition, interns will also be active in other areas surrounding the nonprofit realm, such as child abuse education, public awareness, marketing, fundraising, and grant writing. Background checks will be conducted on all prospective interns.
