NMAC provides intervention services for children who are suspected victims of sexual or severe physical abuse and prevention services within the schools in Clare, Gladwin, and Missaukee Counties. We have two sites, including our Child Advocacy Center (CAC) and The Center for Hope and Healing (CHH) that serves Clare, Gladwin, and Missaukee Counties. Through our sites we provide forensic interviewing, victim advocacy, multidisciplinary team coordination, crisis counseling, and prevention education.

Through our internship program, we hope to positively impact, educate and shape our future leaders while still providing quality, professional services to our clients. We currently accept interns from Central Michigan University, Ferris State University, Saginaw Valley State University, and Mid-Michigan College.

Interns will revolve around our forensic interviewing, family advocacy, and prevention programs, where they will not only work behind the scenes to improve child abuse investigative intervention and advocacy, but will also may work directly with our child and family clients. In addition, interns will also be active in other areas surrounding the nonprofit realm, such as child abuse education, public awareness, marketing, fundraising, and grant writing. Background checks will be conducted on all prospective interns.

We are very excited about this opportunity and partnership and look forward to a long, mutually beneficial future with students. If you or someone you know is interested in an unpaid internship with NMAC, please fill out the form below and submit it to our agency.
